Chrystia Freeland is a prominent figure in Canadian politics, known for her success as a journalist, author, and politician. Born in Peace River, Alberta, Freeland went on to attend Harvard University, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in History and Literature. She then pursued a Master’s degree in Slavic Studies at St. Antony’s College, Oxford. Freeland’s career in journalism took off when she joined the Financial Times as a Moscow correspondent, covering the fall of the Soviet Union and rise of Russian oligarchs.
